Elk Calling Tip #1

Posted by on

This 1st step for any hunter looking to call in a cow or bull elk during hunting season is to try out a number of different kinds of diaphragm reeds and bugles. Find the call that best fits your mouth and that you feel comfortable using. Then practice using your calls daily for at least 1 month before the season.  Get comfortable with the call, listen to elk calling audio and try to mimick the elk sounds. Educate yourself on what the different elk sounds mean.  Then on opening day of the season be sure to bring your calls along with you, and remember to use them!

Stay tuned for more calling and hunting tips!
